I came, I saw, I grabbed my card and ran to test it in the next available ATM! It works and som of you owe me money (having bet that they would screw up yet again... how COULD you not have had faith?!?!)Hahahahah. I tried to use my credit card (as opposed to the newly issued debit card) and it failed. Apparently the magnetic strip is damaged. Lovely. I'm NOT calling HSBC, instead I used a trick someone taught me in Broome - stick a piece of sellotape over the strip... works like a charm and I got a new pair of shoes! Result! Well, I HAD to test it...
